The use of additives, food stabilizers, permitted colors, etc make the commonly available processed food in the market extremely unhealthy and loses on the taste factor. The Bhargava family decided to take matters into their own hands and this led to an organic farm spread over 400 acres in Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh). Surrounded by forest land and fed by clean river water, this farm is thriving to provide handcrafted and preservative free food.
The farm has a focus on pickles and super food like chia seeds and flax seeds. They produce most of the ingredients required for making pickles, use traditional methods and recipes and employ mostly women from the disadvantaged communities. They have been able to successfully recreate the magical taste of the pickles which was available only in the ancestral days before the advent of machine processing which makes them unique and one of the most sought after brands for pickles in the country.
